Lost in the fashion wilderness for years, the backpack shape has been with us for several seasons now and shows no sign of leaving. With the sports influence still dictating silhouettes through both winter and summer seasons, the bag once resigned to trips to the gym, has kept its practical aspects but emerged in luxury leather and technical fabrications.
With the devil being in the detail we like this new essential shape as to be as sleek as possible and the proportion just right. So first up is US label Herschel with The Little America which is one of our (and their) most popular styles. Inspired by classic mountaineering shapes, this bag has a larger volume yet retains a modern styling.
Solving the issue of soggy contents, Danish brand Rains has produced the sell out single hook waterproof backpack, which features minimal branding and Anna Pugh ups the luxe factor with her soft textured leather version, with envelope flap opening, polished hardware and gorgeous contrast soft suede inners.
