Insane In The Rain are an environmentally conscious brand producing ecological unisex rain wear. Their aim is to reduce and reuse plastic through the production of 'happy' printed jackets which are made from recycled plastic.
According to IITR “it (plastic) never ever goes away, every plastic ever made still exists today in some shape or form. Plastic kills over one hundred thousand marine mammals and one million seabirds every year, it poisons our food chain and is massively harmful to humans too. By 2050 there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish...plastic is a human design failure; but the good news is, together we have the chance to fix it”.
Taking old bottles and single-use plastic and turning it into fabric in order to reduce the amount of waste going into landfills and the oceans, the printed jackets are produced by a team of responsible manufacturing partners.
Avoiding using newly-sourced plastic in any of the industrial procedures an Insane in the Rain jacket can help up-cycle between 17 to 23 plastic bottles that would otherwise roam the oceans.
