May 01 2017 – Mercantile London
A love for the ocean and a bohemian jet-set spirit launched Mandy Fry into a visionary career with leading surf labels before carving her own path and co-founding Amuse Society in 2014.
Amuse is an archetype of beach chic – a ready-to-wear collection with rock ’n’ roll vibes that blends seamlessly with beach knits and bikinis. Inspired by the art of travel and the alluring appeal of all things beach, a signature aesthetic has been created on or off the beach, with a style that is undeniably bold and rebelliously sexy.
For Summer 17, creative director and president, Mandy and her team conceive and curate a contemporary ready-to-wear collection, with the Caribbean coastline as inspiration. Mayan ruins which overlook the turquoise waters create the perfect backdrop for the easy summer pieces. Wandering this tropical location with the Spring 2017 collection, Amuse’s muse has everything she needs as sunny days turn to balmy nights, with a suitcase filled with a versatile mix of contemporary pieces that refuse to be defined by any single adjective.
Key pieces of the collection here at The Mercantile include the sell-out (and now back in stock) Moon dancer top, in a printed crepe, which looks great as a co-ord with the matching Fillmoore skirt, or dresses up any summer denim. Also the off the shoulder, sheer bliss dress, sold out in stripe but still available in the floral version, is the perfect piece for both city and beach.
