Playful nineties' colour and shapes, combined with jewellery styles inspired by the days of our youth spent at the beach are adding up to a vintage feel this season. Pearls have been here for several collections now but we are now seeing a move away from the traditional classics to a more organic shape combined with hammered texture in gold and statement chains. These aren't precious pieces though and are made to be worn everyday; styles that are as easy to wear with a swimsuit as summer weddings and garden parties.
A nineties/noughties feel is seen through the appearance of anklets, enamel heart hoops, evil eye charms and pukka shells which are piled onto earrings and necklaces made to layer. Any colour goes, with a rainbow of choice appearing in tiny seed bead designs, along with candy coloured heshi beads and highlighter shades in thread hoops. Pastel and bright options appear in mix and match single style earrings and choker lengths, which sit with delicate handblown glass rings and pastel lucite half hoops and drops.
